The design challenge
A desktop metaphor makes the site playful, but visitors still need to find projects, understand my services and get in touch. A link to an individual page must work without asking someone to navigate the desktop first.
How the interface works
The site supports draggable icons, resizable windows and a taskbar. Each content window follows its own path, so opening another page does not replace the content in windows already on the desktop. On smaller screens, content windows fill the available space.
Content that works at a direct URL
React Router serves individual pages for the profile, projects and writing. Content pages are prerendered for delivery through Cloudflare, with page-specific metadata and canonical URLs. Visitors can share a project or article directly.
Keeping the sandbox optional
The 3D island is a separate experience. Its main scene code loads when the world is opened, so someone reading about my work does not need to load the full game. The interface is built with React, TypeScript, Framer Motion and Tailwind CSS.
